Description

In her second book, Joyce Benvenuto returns to Grand River and new adventures. She adds new poems about the generations who have lived along Grand River, both the river and the road for the past 160 years. In her many stops up and down the road, she has met new people who have added their knowledge to the story of the ageless old travel routes. She showcases them in her poetry and prose which cross Michigan from shore to shore.

About the Author

Now that she has journeyed the 300 miles of Grand River, Joyce Benvenuto feels the stories are endless, and the people along the road and river are endlessly enchanting. It is a route through the Garden of Eden. Thus, her wish to celebrate for a second time her encounters along the way. Benvenuto taught English for Haslett Public Schools for 18 years. There she taught creative writing to high school students. She received her own teaching degrees from Michigan State University. Her husband taught at MSU. She has three children and four grandchildren, all of whom stay involved with her storytelling.
