Submissions to PPG
Partners Publishers Group is an exclusive national distributor. Upon contractual agreement, we place your title(s) in Ingram and Baker & Taylor, present your title(s) to other wholesalers and the national buyers of the chain book stores through our sales representatives, and represent your title(s) in our catalogue and the BEA national trade show (formerly ABA).
Our Criteria
We welcome the opportunity to consider all books based on subject matter and salability; however all material accepted must meet certain standards. Below is a list of criteria needed to meet industry standards.
- Does the book have your own publishing company’s ISBN? (Printer assigned ISBNs are not acceptable.)
- Does the book have an EAN barcode with the ISBN and the price programmed in it? (Price may be printed elsewhere on the book) Please visit Bowker (http://www.bowker.com/products/isbnagency.htm) for more information about ISBN and EAN barcode requirements.
- How is the book bound? (Generally plastic comb or wire binding without title name on the spine are not acceptable)
- Is the book competitively priced?
- PLEASE NOTE: Partners Publishers Group does not accept manuscripts or Print on Demand (POD) titles for review.
What You Need to Send when Submitting a Title to PPG
If you would like your book considered for national distribution please send the items listed below to our acquisitions department. Allow approximately four to six weeks for review time, after which we will contact you either by phone or by mail.
- The new title presentation sheet fully completed: Download Here
- Copy of the book (We do not return review copies)
- Contact information including mailing address, phone/fax number and email address.
- Marketing and promotional plans
- Any letters of interest from the corporate offices of the national chain stores
- Any book reviews
