About the Author

Jennifer Kachnic owns Canine Wellness, LLC in Colorado, providing natural and alternative wellness therapies for senior dogs. She is certified as a Canine Massage Therapist, Animal Reiki Practitioner and Therapy Dog Handler. Jennifer raises and trains dogs for Canine Companions for Independence and volunteers regularly at the local hospice with therapy dogs. She has end-of-life training and experience and often provides decision-making assistance to dog caretakers. She is an Advisory Board member for the Grey Muzzle Organization and a member of the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork. Jennifer has published numerous canine wellness articles for national magazines and and teaches canine heath and wellness classes in Denver.
